// Other than my threads with undeadresearcher14 and equineinruneterra, I’m not planning on being too active. Life is… Let’s just say it’s getting harder and harder for me to wake up in the morning and ‘bad’ thoughts are frequenting my head more often.

[High School AU time!] Thresh hated school. She LOATHED it. Hell, the only reason she even got up in the morning was to escape her jobless, alcoholic mother. She let out a sigh and dug her hands in the pockets of her skirt, venturing inside. She turned a sharp corner and bumped into another student, sending him back a bit. She eyed him quickly. He was short, probably a freshman, maybe sophomore. She let out another sigh, "You alright, dude?" she asked nonchalantly.

Xavier equally hated it, though hid it rather well, behind a large hooded jacket, covering his face. He would rather not go to school if he could, not because of the education but because of those who specifically looked for him and started shooting spitballs at him, and shouting insult, and a long list of other bullying antics. Just short of a wedgie. He now held a large stack of books, intending to return them to the library. Turning a corner forced him back a tad, trying to keep himself and the books balanced. He gave a sigh once both were achieved. At the question he spoke, small surprise in his gaze. She asked about his well being? “I’m a-alright, what about you?”

"I, uhhh… I got jumped by a couple-a pricks from that rich kid school," she sighed, still trying to smile, "Whats’it called? Demacia High or some shit." Gradually, her face would ease back and forth between a smile and a frown as she gritted her teeth behind her lips.

The boy was already looking through his cloak, hoping he still had something in-particular within it. Luckily, he managed to find it and hand it over to Thresh. It was a vial, filled with a dark green liquid. It seemed a little murky, yet nothing but the liquid was inside. “Drink this please, i-it’ll help.”

Thresh eyed Xavier as he fished out a small tubular vial. She examined it suspiciously before shaking her head. “Nah, I’m fine,” she replied, looking away. She smiled softly and glanced back over without turning her head, “I didn’t know you were a drug dealer. Thanks, but I have my own sources,” she half-joked.

Thresh popped her hips up, scooting Night forward. She reached up and pulled him down on top of her so that he was nearly putting all of his weight on her. However, she didn’t seem to mind. She held his shoulder-blades…

Thresh smiled softly, tilting her head to the opposite side, “I know you will,” she replied, shifting her legs up and down, rubbing up against his. “But what do YOU want?”

He gave a sigh once both were achieved. At the question he spoke, small surprise in his gaze. She asked about his well being? “I’m a-alright, what about you?”

Thresh stirred slightly and listened to the hussle and bussle of the cafeteria. She kept her eyes closed and let out a sigh, “Don’t make me kiss you again…” she said softly.

The boy gave a small internal sigh to himself, realizing he would regret this on a later date, or perhaps in the next two seconds. He proceeded to move her skull upwards and kiss her, this time initiated by the young male. It only lasted for a brief moment, which gave plenty of time for red to color in his pale face. He broke the kiss soon after, waiting for a response.

Thresh couldn’t speak for a moment, her lips being too occupied. She stared at him not so much in disbelief as confusion. What did she mean to him? Why was he trying so hard? She touched her lips for a moment and smiled softly, tilting her head, “C-minus,” she teased.

He tried so hard to quell his own demons, and to keep any from rooting within Thresh’s mind. They suffered the same type of problem, they faced hardships due to parental difficulties. Thresh had no father, while the boy had no parents at all. He didn’t want others to feel his pain as well. Though, he seemed quiet about it, since the moment she teased him, he was already on the way out of the cafeteria. He tried to make her forget if only for a moment. He would find some way to help her, or die trying.

A few days later, Thresh came across Xavier on her way home. She was limping horribly and covered in cuts and bruises. Her face, however, held an adamant, defiant look, a fire blazing in her eyes. She stopped in front of him, unclenching her fists, “Yo,” she said casually, her black, swollen eye impeding her from smiling too much.

Xavier could sense the look in her eye whilst walking back home, making the boy all the more curious. He began to remove his hood since she was the only one around, and saw all her cuts and bruises. She looked like she was in a onesided fight, where she couldn’t necessarily attack. “Thresh, what happened?”

"I, uhhh… I got jumped by a couple-a pricks from that rich kid school," she sighed, still trying to smile, "Whats’it called? Demacia High or some shit." Gradually, her face would ease back and forth between a smile and a frown as she gritted her teeth behind her lips.
